Senior technical expertise without another full-time executive hire.
Growing regulated manufacturers often need experienced quality, regulatory or operations leadership before the workload justifies several full-time senior roles. Coast Valley provides flexible access to that capability on a recurring basis.
Fractional support may be a fit when: a licence or site requires ongoing senior quality oversight; the company is growing faster than its management systems; a key technical leader has left or is temporarily unavailable; the business is preparing for an inspection, expansion or major change; management needs senior guidance but not a permanent executive position; or an owner or CEO needs a technical counterpart across QA, regulatory, operations or manufacturing.
Available models: Fractional QAP / senior cannabis QA support. Fractional Quality Systems leadership. Fractional Regulatory & Compliance support. Fractional Operations & Manufacturing advisory. Executive technical advisory retainer.
How it works: define the responsibilities Coast Valley owns, supports or advises; set a monthly time allocation and communication cadence; agree on escalation rules, response expectations and on-site requirements; maintain a prioritized action plan and decision log; and review scope periodically as the internal team grows or the business changes.
Governance: Fractional QAP/AQAP work must always reflect the applicable regulatory requirements, appointment responsibilities, licence-holder accountability and real availability needed for the role. A retainer does not automatically satisfy a statutory requirement.
FAQ — How many hours per month is a typical fractional engagement? This depends on the appointed role and the licence/business requirement; time allocation is agreed at the start of the engagement and reviewed periodically.
FAQ — Can fractional support start small and grow? Yes — most engagements begin with a defined scope and expand as the internal team and business needs change.
FAQ — Does fractional QAP support satisfy our regulatory appointment requirement on its own? Not automatically — appointment and accountability requirements are set by the applicable regulator and must be confirmed as part of scoping.
